Cam Jordan Prepares for Final NFL Season with New Orleans Saints

New Orleans Saints legendary player Cam Jordan is preparing to conclude his NFL career after 16 years. Jordan recently resigned with the Saints for what he anticipates to be his final season, following a 10½-sack performance in 2025.

While retirement remains unspoken, Jordan clearly stated his expectations for this year to be his last. “I’ve been doing this since year 10,” Jordan remarked, while expressing his excitement about attending this year’s Sack Summit in Las Vegas. This event, which involves other pass rushers and is sponsored by Raising Cane’s, remains a highlight for Jordan.

Jordan’s candid nature, besides his defensive prowess, sets him apart. Reflecting on his role in the Saints’ defense under first-year head coach Kellen Moore and defensive coordinator Brandon Staley, Jordan stated that he is willing to contribute in any way necessary. His performance with the two-point stance during the past season provided significant results.

His ambition to succeed burns bright, especially within the Caesars Superdome. The defensive end’s ultimate dream centers around winning a Super Bowl, a goal that serves as a benchmark for greatness in football. “That’s the ultimate team dream,” Jordan asserted.

Drafted 24th overall in 2011 from the Cal Bears, Jordan has consistently contributed to the team. Accumulating 132 career sacks places him 17th in all-time records. This season, Jordan targets reaching eight seasons with double-digit sacks, hoping to break into the top 10 all-time sack leaders.

Though he believes his spot in the Hall of Fame is secure, Jordan aspires to include “Super Bowl champion” in his career’s narrative. “What is it I want to accomplish? A Super Bowl,” Jordan articulated, viewing it as the sole remaining achievement to pursue.
