Interim WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green remains optimistic as she reveals her injury situation on social media. Green sustained a broken orbital bone during a tag team match against champions Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid.

Chelsea Green Attends Netflix and WWE’s ‘Monday Night Raw’ Brunch
Chelsea Green was seen attending a Netflix and WWE event in Las Vegas in April 2025, shortly before her injury. Despite her injury, Green stays positive about her return to the ring.
In a personal video shared via Instagram, Green discussed her injury. “I did get injured last night. Stuff happens. It’s live television. It’s wrestling. It’s an occupational hazard,” she stated. Green added she visited the emergency room where her broken orbital bone was diagnosed. “It feels awful but looks pretty amazing,” she commented.
Green expressed uncertainty over her future due to the injury. “I have no idea what that means for me. Usually, you guys have seen me play into every single injury, but this feels different, obviously,” she said. Green acknowledged the frustration and expressed a need for time to heal, especially from the head trauma, and called for a day-by-day approach.
Currently, it’s unclear what direction the Women’s Championship will take as Green works on her recovery.
Impact on WWE Women’s Championship Scene
The interim championship title was established following Rhea Ripley’s knee surgery, which removed her from competition indefinitely. Green’s recent injury further complicates the championship scene.
