Cody Rhodes and WWE Stars Collaborate with Clash of Clans

4 weeks ago 0

John Cena’s career in WWE may have transitioned from the ring, yet Cody Rhodes and other WWE stars continue their connection with him virtually. Rhodes, along with Cena and several other WWE personalities, are part of a unique collaboration with Clash of Clans, a popular mobile game. This crossover tasks Rhodes and the game’s community with finding Cena’s base within the game.

The ‘Search for Cena’ event, active until September 30, invites millions of Clash of Clans players worldwide to participate. Rhodes shared his enthusiasm about this global interaction with OutKick Dropkick, recalling his initial introduction to the game alongside Cena. Rhodes remarked, “We’ve got millions of players on Clash of Clans globally.” He fondly remembered forming the O’Leary Klan (OLK) with Cena during their travels.

Rhodes admits he faced challenges under Cena’s leadership in the game, describing the experience as “real tyrant behavior.” Now, the community seeks to reclaim their lost ground by raiding Cena’s base. Rhodes relishes the chance to see his likeness in the game, with new additions like the ‘Barbarian King’ skin and the music enhancements.

Reflecting on his gaming roots, Rhodes explained to OutKick Dropkick the dynamic he had with Cena, who was known for excessive gemming—akin to frequenting an NFL game only to witness field goals. Rhodes expressed respect for Cena’s ability to bring players into the game, though criticized his tendency towards achieving a 99% one-star raid.

While introducing the commercial aspect of their partnership, Rhodes highlighted the involvement of Shawn Michaels—another wrestling legend—as a strategic Clash player guiding them. Rhodes also noted reaching out to The Undertaker, who has since joined the collaboration as ‘Grand Warden.’

Cena himself shared his perspective in a press release, stating, “People think this started in the ring with Cody. It didn’t. It started when I out-raided him in the game and he threw me off his team.” This comment underlines the competitive spirit that transcends their wrestling careers.

Rhodes conveyed his disbelief at featuring in a mobile game, distinct from pro wrestling platforms. Despite avoiding the ring, Rhodes enjoys embodying the ‘Barbarian King.’ WWE stars such as Alexa Bliss (‘Archer Queen’), Iyo Sky (‘Royal Champion’), Jey Uso (‘Minion Prince’), and Kane (‘Dragon Duke’) also join him in the game.

Clash of Clans enjoys immense popularity with over 2 billion downloads, solidifying its status as a leading mobile game. This collaboration exemplifies the synergy between WWE and mobile gaming realms, generating excitement across diverse fanbases.
