Country singer Brian Duckworth, known by the nickname “Nashville,” passed away at the age of 56 on September 7. His family announced the news in an obituary, revealing that he died at his home.

Duckworth was part of the band Taylor Made, alongside his family. Despite his aspirations in the music industry, he worked as a dump truck driver for Wolfe’s Excavating, earning the nickname “Truck Boss.” His family fondly remembered his enjoyment of the role because it allowed him to be outdoors.

“Music was also a special part of his life. He loved to sing and proudly performed with his family band, Taylor Made. Brian never passed up an opportunity to share his voice, earning him the affectionate nickname ‘Nashville.'”

Duckworth grew up singing with his siblings, Greg and Wendy, forming the band I-79 before changing their name to Taylor Made. The band gained recognition with songs like “Things You Don’t Grow Out Of,” which reached No. 36 on the Billboard Indicator chart.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 16 years, Tina, their six children, and their extended family, including grandchildren and siblings. The obituary highlighted his devotion to his family and the cherished memories they created.

“Above all, Brian treasured his family and the special memories they created together. He also dearly loved his faithful fur family, who were constant companions and brought him great comfort and happiness. Brian’s love of family, music, and the outdoors will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.”

His niece, Brianna Duckworth Kazner, shared a video from her wedding on Facebook, expressing disbelief that it marked the last time Taylor Made performed together. She reflected on growing up watching her father, Aunt Wendy, and Uncle Brian at fairs and festivals.

Duckworth was a source of inspiration for her songwriting, often helping her through creative blocks. She noted their recent phone conversations about song ideas, expressing regret that their performances together were never plentiful enough.

The cause of Duckworth’s death was not specified. He will be laid to rest at Floral Hills Memorial Garden on Monday.
