Senator Darline Graham Nordone Takes Office
Chad Pergram from Fox News reported on Darline Graham Nordone’s official swearing in as the interim U.S. senator for South Carolina on ‘America Reports.’ Following her brother Lindsey Graham’s sudden death, Nordone steps into a historic role in the U.S. Senate.
Exclusive Interview with Sean Hannity
Darline Graham will appear on Fox News Channel’s program ‘Hannity,’ hosted by Sean Hannity, for an exclusive interview. It airs Monday night at 9 ET. This will be her first on-screen interview discussing her brother’s legacy and her plans as a senator.
Reflections and Future Plans
In the interview, Nordone is expected to share insights into her family’s shared values and her approach to representing South Carolina. Her appointment marks significant milestones: the first female senator from her state and the first time a sister replaces a sibling in the Senate.
Appointment and Support
South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster appointed Nordone to complete the remainder of her brother’s term. President Donald Trump recommended her for the role, and she received support from Senator Tim Scott, R-S.C., who engaged with her before publicly endorsing her in Columbia.
A Family Legacy
Gov. McMaster stated, “Lindsey took care of his little sister in years long departed. It’s my honor to ask his little sister, Darline Graham, to finish his work for him now.” Lindsey Graham passed away on July 11 at 71 after returning from Kyiv, where he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Circumstances of Lindsey Graham’s Death
Graham’s office released a statement citing preliminary findings from the District of Columbia’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. An aortic dissection because of arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease was identified as the cause of death, though further testing is needed for an official determination.
Sean Hannity’s Interview Legacy
Hannity’s interviews span a wide range, including figures like Elon Musk, Benjamin Netanyahu, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Gavin Newsom, and George W. Bush. His conversation with Nordone will add to a diverse lineup of high-profile interviews.
