Lake County Fair in Crown Point

The 174th Lake County Fair is ongoing at the Lake County Fairgrounds, located at 889 S. Court St., Crown Point. Established in 1852, the fair features over 30 carnival rides, a car show, Sunday church services, a live music stage, and diverse food vendors. The fair is open until August 16.

Karen Mills’ Theatre at the Center Debut

Professional basketball player turned comedian Karen Mills is slated for a performance at the Theatre at the Center in Munster. Scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday at The Center for Visual and Performing Arts, located at 1040 Ridge Road, this debut is highly anticipated.

Touch of Dutch Festival in DeMotte

The DeMotte Chamber of Commerce hosts the annual “Touch of Dutch” Festival on the second Saturday of August at Spencer Park in DeMotte, Indiana. Expect a crowd of 10,000-12,000 visitors enjoying a parade, car show, live entertainment, craft and food vendors, kids’ activities, and a beer garden. Fireworks conclude the evening.

Canterbury Summer Theatre’s “Red, White and Tuna”

The Canterbury Summer Theatre presents “Red, White and Tuna” through Saturday in Michigan City. This production brings humor and satire to life with a plot centered around a high school reunion in a small Texas town.
