Explosive Device Incident in New York City

The FBI’s joint terrorism task force in New York is investigating an incident involving an explosive device deployed in Lower Manhattan. The suspect, identified as Andrew Arrabaca, was apprehended outside a building housing an FBI field office and the New York immigration court.

Law enforcement sources confirmed the suspect was carrying material expressing anti-ICE sentiments during the alleged attack. Arrabaca was quickly taken into custody after the incident.

According to FBI Director Kash Patel, an incendiary device was deployed, leading to two minor injuries. The suspect placed an unidentified liquid and fireworks, causing a small fire. He was armed with a pellet gun during the arrest, and two individuals, a federal employee and a civilian, were injured but later released after treatment.
