This particular fan at Truist Park had a moment of overconfidence. As he got his head start along the left field foul line, he turned to blow a kiss at The Freeze. The attempt at humor quickly turned against him. As he ran, he realized The Freeze was fast approaching and tried to speed up.
Unfortunately, his efforts were insufficient. The Freeze not only caught up but also overtook him, returning the playful gesture by blowing a kiss as he sprinted past.
After securing his victory, The Freeze eased into a more relaxed pace, finishing the race at the right field foul line.
The Braves, much like The Freeze, are looking to maintain their lead in the National League East. They stand at 61-42, leading the Philadelphia Phillies by 5.5 games. This is after a dip in form from a 10.5 game lead earlier in the season in May.
The Braves rebounded with a victory over the Baltimore Orioles, winning 7-6. They aim to clinch the series in their second game scheduled for Saturday evening.
