In June 2022, filmmaker Joanna Zelman presented her father with an unusual proposal: travel with her to a Vermont dairy farm, rescue a calf, and transport it to a farm animal sanctuary in Maryland using their car.
The duo embarked on a journey transporting Mickey and Moose, two calves, from Vermont to the suburbs of Washington, D.C. These calves now reside at Rosie’s Farm Sanctuary in Potomac, Maryland.
