The Broken Arrow Fire Department in Oklahoma swiftly extinguished a fire at a fireworks stand on a recent Saturday night. The department shared details of the incident on Facebook, noting that fireworks were actively detonating upon their arrival.
According to the department, they responded to the fire at about 8:50 p.m. The location was near E. Kenosha St. & S. 236th E. Ave. The department described finding a fireworks stand ablaze with fireworks going off. A video captured the dramatic scene with fireworks exploding from a burning trailer, which had previously caused a shutdown on Interstate 75.
The department’s Facebook post included a photo from the incident. Upon arrival, Engine 4 of the Broken Arrow Fire Department took charge of the situation. As more crews arrived, A-Shift firefighters managed to control the scene efficiently, putting out the fire in around 20 minutes. Remarkably, there were no injuries reported.
This incident happened just two weeks before July 4, when fireworks are a common sight in the United States as families celebrate Independence Day.
