Flight Cancellations at Reagan National Airport for Independence Day

2 weeks ago 0

Reagan National Airport will cease flight operations for most of July 4 to facilitate flyovers and fireworks during the country’s 250th anniversary Independence Day festivities. The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority announced that no flights will depart from Reagan National after 12 p.m. on July 4.

The airport will also experience flight suspensions for several hours in the early afternoon of July 3, as noted by the MWAA. Travelers are advised to review schedules near other 250th-anniversary events throughout the summer.

A woman captured a photo of a plane landing at the airport in March, highlighting the bustling activity usually seen at Reagan National, outside Washington. This cessation is a significant change, emphasizing the importance of the celebrations.
