Jennifer Hyatt Tedmori, known for her role in Nickelodeon’s Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, has provided a glimpse into her residual income from past acting roles. This week, the actress shared her experience with her social media followers, particularly highlighting the unexpected residual checks she receives.
Tedmori, now 37, shared a video showing a stack of unopened mail containing residual checks from her acting days. She captioned the video with a tongue-in-cheek remark about the unpredictability of the amounts, wondering whether they would afford her a coffee or a yacht. “Time to open my latest Ned’s Declassified residual checks,” she wrote.
As she began opening the envelopes, Tedmori expressed her appreciation for the curiosity people have about the life of a former child actor. Holding the stack of mail, she quipped about the checks, some of which are worth mere pennies. In a candid moment, she shared a two-cent paycheck she received for her work on the show. “All of two cents,” she remarked dryly, holding up the check.
Continuing to open more mail, she encountered checks that amounted to .63 cents and three cents, expressing her frustration at the cost of sending such small amounts. Tedmori explained the irony of receiving checks that sometimes cost more to mail than the check itself.
Despite her earnings seeming trivial, Tedmori took the situation with humor. “The way it’s adding up … the math ain’t working,” she noted after reviewing a batch of checks. While holding a check from an appearance in “90210” over two decades ago, she calculated her total earnings. “For ‘Ned’s Declassified,’ that earned me a grand total of $8.63,” she stated, summing up her findings with levity.
