Webster’s vehicle was taken as evidence. He was taken to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital for an injury noticed during processing. After treatment, police took him back into custody.

During Webster’s arraignment, Justice Steven Tekulsky issued a protection order. This prohibits Webster from contacting Beyoncé or Jay-Z. Reports mentioned that Webster looked disoriented during the arraignment. He was subsequently evaluated at Stony Brook University Hospital’s mental health facility.

Detective Sergeant Jennifer Dunn commented that Webster’s motive remains under investigation. It was noted that he does not have a criminal record. It is unclear if Beyoncé and Jay-Z were at home during the incident. The couple has not yet provided any public comments.
