1 week ago 0

The Department of Defense recently released a video featuring influencers Logan and Jake Paul addressing service members at the Pentagon. The video, set to dramatic music, shows the brothers thanking personnel and interacting with them.

“We see all the men and women here who are serving this great nation. I don’t think there’s any greater commitment to sacrifice than those who are willing to live, die and fight for their country,” Logan told the troops.

Logan Paul expressed gratitude to service members, appreciating their role in preserving freedom, which he believes allows the nation to prosper. His brother Jake encouraged the attendees to take pride in their contributions.

“This is the greatest country in the world, truly. We are blessed to be born here, come here, and we should never take that for granted,” Jake said.

The siblings expressed a belief that supporting each other is fundamental to the country’s principles.

“That’s what God created us for, is to lift each other up in the hard moments…to come together as a collective and fight for good,” Jake added.

Newsweek reached out to the Pentagon and the Paul brothers but has yet to receive a response on the visit’s purpose. Reports indicate the pair funded their own travel for the visit.

Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Joel Valdez shared that the Department was pleased with the visit, appreciating the brothers’ respect and support shown towards the military.

The Brothers’ Politically Active Role

Logan and Jake Paul, famous for their social media presence, have also made political waves. Jake publicly endorsed Donald Trump for the 2024 election and supports his various policies. Logan interviewed Trump on his podcast, emphasizing their active political engagement.

Jake has shared controversial opinions, including revising the Second Amendment to allow citizens access to advanced weaponry, highlighting potential concerns over government control.

Controversy Surrounding the Visit

The Pentagon visit prompted mixed reactions on social media, including some mocking comments. Former Representative Adam Kinzinger remarked on X about the country’s current state. Others drew parallels to pop culture moments, expressing skepticism about the purpose and significance of such visits.

The broader celebrity engagement strategy by the Trump administration is evident. The administration has encouraged high-profile events, including a UFC fight at the White House, and has established connections with celebrities, as seen in interventions to support figures like Kid Rock.
