Six months after Nancy Guthrie vanished from her home in Tucson, the sheriff overseeing the investigation provided insights into recent developments. On Saturday, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos explained why authorities released two alleged ransom notes. Investigators hope the distinctive language or phrasing might trigger recognition from the public.
There are a number of pieces of information in these notes that just might jar someone to say, ‘You know, I’ve heard that,’ or the wording, the style of the writing,Nanos stated in an interview video.
The origin of the notes, whether from the same sender or not, remains uncertain. Nanos assured that investigators are diligently reviewing thousands of tips, videos, and forensic leads in their ongoing search for the 84-year-old mother of “Today” co-host Savannah Guthrie.
