Jennifer Lopez Shares Insights on What She Finds Attractive and Her Journey to Self-Discovery

Jennifer Lopez recently shared her perspective on what she considers attractive in a man. During her performance at the Dolce & Gabbana show in Taormina, Sicily, the singer and actress highlighted that material possessions, like luxury watches or cars, do not define a man’s appeal.

“What really makes a man attractive? It’s not the watch, it’s not the car, it’s not the private jet,” Lopez stated. “It’s seeing them make the bed in the morning or wash the dishes when you’re tired at night. That’s what’s sexy.” Her remarks drew laughter and applause from the audience, as reported by People magazine.

Alongside this personal revelation, Lopez performed several of her hit songs, such as “Love Don’t Cost a Thing,” “Waiting For Tonight,” and “Let’s Get Loud.” Dressed in a sparkling bodysuit, she entertained the crowd while engaging playfully with her backup dancers.

Her candid performance included humorous exchanges, like when Lopez told a dancer: “Fix my hair, okay? But the rest of you, get out of here. I don’t need your money. I don’t need your gifts.” She emphasized her financial independence, saying, “I am expensive, but I have my own money. Ladies, am I right? We don’t need anybody to buy us anything.”

Lopez also opened up about the personal growth she experienced following her divorce from Ben Affleck. In an interview on SiriusXM’s “Howard Stern Show,” she reflected on why the separation was ultimately positive. “When I got divorced this last time, it was the best thing that ever happened to me,” she shared.

She credited a range of support systems, including therapists and coaches, for helping her understand the dynamics of her relationships. “I had a religious coach, a therapist, a couple’s therapist, an individual therapist, a coach to understand addiction. I was determined to figure it out.”

Lopez has been married four times, including to Marc Anthony and Ben Affleck. She acknowledged that these experiences taught her about love and compatibility. “It’s not that I’m not lovable — it’s that they’re not capable,” she said, adding that past partners gave her what they could.

Today, Lopez feels more self-assured and self-aware. “I can reflect on everything, whether my mother, my father, how I learned to love,” she said, noting that she now appreciates who she is, with all her complexities.
