He mentioned a digital version of the story board, which synchronizes updates in real-time, replacing the traditional dry erase board method. Bilton conveyed that in an age of technology, tracking shouldn’t rely on outdated tools.

Bilton, chosen by CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss, leads ’60 Minutes’ after key staff changes. Bilton succeeded Tanya Simon, while correspondents Sharyn Alfonsi, Cecilia Vega, and Scott Pelley were let go. Bilton clarified that ’60 Minutes’ thrives on in-office collaboration, not remote work, stressing the importance of in-office presence when corresponding or shooting isn’t required.

New additions to ’60 Minutes’ include New York Times columnist Ross Douthat and CBS News veteran Norah O’Donnell. The team also welcomes contributors like journalist and filmmaker Sebastian Junger, former Vice News correspondent Gianna Toboni, and former Sky News presenter Trevor Phillips.
