3 weeks ago 0

A incident that started at a Jimmy John’s location in St. Louis resulted in a 14-year-old girl being shot in the leg. A restaurant employee faces charges for allegedly firing at a vehicle carrying the teenager, based on information from police and court records.

The shooting occurred shortly before 6 p.m. on Saturday near Vandeventer and Laclede avenues. The injured girl was taken to a nearby hospital and is reported to be in stable condition, according to a statement by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.

The accused shooter is identified as 27-year-old Adam White, who worked at the Jimmy John’s where the dispute began.

The conflict was linked to the teenage girl’s mother and involved “several individuals” connected to the Jimmy John’s branch on the 3800 block of Laclede, as per the police.

White faces charges including first-degree assault, armed criminal action, unlawful weapon use, and first-degree child endangerment, along with other felony offenses.

Court records reveal that the dispute involved a verbal argument between White and a former employee, which escalated into the parking lot. The former employee, her boyfriend, and her daughter attempted to leave in a vehicle when White allegedly fired multiple shots at them. One of the bullets struck the teenage girl in the leg.

Police found ballistic damage on the vehicle’s trunk. White initially left the scene but later returned, leading to his arrest. After being informed of his rights, White admitted to shooting at the vehicle and disclosed that he left the weapon at home.

A judge ordered White to stay in custody without bond while awaiting trial.

Both Jimmy John’s and the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department did not provide immediate comments to Fox News Digital’s requests.
