Kai Trump Names Her Song of the Year

Kai Trump surprised her followers by naming her ‘song of the year.’ In a video on YouTube and TikTok, the 19-year-old granddaughter of President Donald Trump admitted she struggled to choose a song when asked to define her past year.

“I couldn’t think of a song at all,” she said. “I just said ‘Rolling in the Deep’ by Adele.”

A song choice that resonated, reflecting on her past year.

‘Rolling in the Deep,’ released in 2010, is a key track in Adele’s career. It reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, staying there for seven weeks. The song achieved international acclaim, topping charts in numerous countries, and won three Grammy Awards in 2012 for record of the year, song of the year, and best short form music video. This hit played a major role in launching Adele’s global fame, standing alongside her other well-known tracks like ‘Someone Like You’ and ‘Hello.’

Kai had previously named ‘Rolling in the Deep’ as a favorite in a March Q&A on her YouTube channel. She also selected other tracks like ‘November Rain’ by Guns N’ Roses, ‘House of Balloons,’ ‘After Party,’ and ‘Wicked Games’ by The Weeknd, which she loves.

Kai often engages with fans by sharing her personal favorites including music, food, and celebrities during social media Q&A sessions. In an interview with Fox News Digital, she spoke about her new celebrity crush, changing from ‘Outer Banks’ star Drew Starkey in 2024 to Theo James due to his attractive appearance.

Two years prior, on YouTube, Kai shared that she had to look up her celebrity crush, and identified Drew Starkey from ‘Outer Banks,’ blushing as she recalled him. As a frequent golfer with Trump, Kai plans to join the University of Miami’s women’s golf team.

Discussing her grandfather’s influence on her life, Kai mentioned that having him in office made dating complicated. “It’s not easy,” she admitted. Despite this, she aims to live a normal life, recalling her high school and looking forward to college.

She is the oldest child of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump, and will start her freshman year at the University of Miami this fall, competing with the Hurricanes women’s golf team in the 2026-27 season.
