Kevin Warsh’s Approach to Inflation Control

3 days ago 0

Kevin Warsh has voiced the correct sentiments about addressing inflation. His prompt action is necessary.

On July 29, during a news conference following an FOMC meeting in Washington, Kevin Warsh was seen addressing the pressing issue of inflation. As the new Federal Reserve Chair, Warsh is keenly aware of the challenges inflation poses.

Inflation’s rate decline to 3.4 percent in July is encouraging. However, this should not make the Federal Reserve less urgent in its mission to stabilize prices.

Currently, inflation is 70 percent above the Fed’s target of 2 percent. Warsh has accurately identified this as “a tax on the American people and businesses,” emphasizing the heavy burden on the population.
