LA Knight’s Championship Opportunity Against Roman Reigns

1 hour ago 0

LA Knight is poised for a significant opportunity in his wrestling career. He will challenge Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank in New Orleans. Knight’s popularity with WWE fans has been soaring since 2023 and 2024. Despite challenges, such as a U.S. title run and feuds involving Reigns’ Bloodline stablemates, Knight remains a fan favorite.

Knight’s first shot at a world title came during Crown Jewel in 2023. He faced interference from Jimmy Uso, which cost him the match against Reigns. Later, Knight participated in a fatal four-way match for the Undisputed WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble in 2024, competing against Reigns, AJ Styles, and Randy Orton. Reigns emerged victorious.

“I would love to see Knight win. Our careers took off later in life, and I believe Knight deserves this,” said WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page.

Page expressed his support for Knight in the upcoming match, arguing that if Reigns lost, it wouldn’t hurt his career. He compared it to his own victory over Randy Savage at WCW’s Spring Stampede in 1997, stating that Reigns is a major figure like Hulk Hogan, The Rock, or John Cena.

Page shared insights about professional wrestling with Knight, similar to his discussions with Cody Rhodes when Rhodes pursued Reigns’ championship. Although Rhodes initially failed at WrestleMania 39, he persevered and eventually succeeded at WrestleMania 40.

“Even if Knight loses, I don’t think it hurts him. He’s so popular with the fans,” added Page.

Page emphasized Knight’s hard work and dedication, drawing parallels to his own career aspirations in 1994. He acknowledged that Knight’s widespread popularity could lead to unpredictable outcomes in wrestling, emphasizing Reigns’ long-standing dominance in the sport.
