LaMelo Ball’s Car Collection and New Arrangements

1 month ago 0

LaMelo Ball has made headlines with his expansive car collection since he became a prominent figure in basketball. Now, the Minnesota Timberwolves guard is opting for a personal driver as he transitions to his new team, as revealed by his older brother, Lonzo Ball.

During an episode of the ‘Curious Mike’ podcast, Lonzo and Brooklyn Nets forward Michael Porter Jr. discussed who among the Ball siblings spends the most. Porter inquired, ‘Who in your family out of y’all three spends the most [money]?’ To which Lonzo responded, ‘The one who has the most, LaMelo.’

LaMelo’s Lifestyle Choices

Despite having a penthouse in Charlotte known for its unique decor, LaMelo is settling into Minnesota following a trade to the Timberwolves earlier this offseason. Lonzo continued, ‘[He’s] got 10 cars.’ Employing a driver may mean LaMelo spends less time driving, potentially reducing the risk of accidents.

Lonzo hinted that LaMelo might benefit from selecting vehicles outside the exotic-car lineup, which includes Lamborghinis and similar high-performance models he has previously owned.

‘He’ll buy a $1 million car and then just immediately f–k it up. I’ve never understood that,’ Lonzo remarked about his brother’s vehicle habits. ‘You just bought that? And then you ripped it up? You could’ve just got a beater.’

Lonzo addressed the misconception about LaMelo’s road experiences, stating his brother ‘doesn’t get into accidents, but he has a lot of situations on the road.’

Lonzo’s NBA Journey

Lonzo’s NBA career has seen him drafted second overall by the Lakers in 2017, later playing for the New Orleans Pelicans and Chicago Bulls, before joining the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2025. After a trade to the Utah Jazz in 2026, he was waived without playing a game.

Injuries have challenged Lonzo’s career, limiting his appearances to 35 games in the 2021-22 season and keeping him sidelined for over two years. Reflecting on this, he said, ‘It was like a 1,000 and something days,’ acknowledging he might not return to his peak form.

LaMelo’s NBA Path

Drafted third overall by the Hornets in 2020, LaMelo, a two-time All-Star, was traded to the Timberwolves along with teammate Josh Green for Naz Reid and multiple draft picks. Sports writer Chantz Martin covers the story for Fox News Digital.
