Massie Pushes for Epstein Files Release and Names 14 Alleged Associates

1 month ago 0

Representative Thomas Massie has called for an investigation into 14 individuals he alleges have ties to Jeffrey Epstein. Massie, a Republican from Kentucky, is working to release more government files related to Epstein. He supports new legislation to push the Department of Justice to disclose over three million remaining files on Epstein.

Massie highlighted that it’s been a year since the Epstein Files Transparency Act was signed into law by President Donald Trump. The law aims to provide transparency and accountability regarding Epstein’s activities and those associated with him. Massie, who will leave Congress in January, emphasized the need for state courts to hold the Department of Justice accountable and bring closure for survivors.

“The government continues to withhold over three million files,” said Massie. “That’s why we’ve introduced the Epstein Files Transparency Act II, to bring the fight to the state courts, accountability to the Department of Justice and closure for survivors.”

Massie named 14 individuals as ‘co-conspirators,’ but did not present evidence of criminal activity. These individuals include Jes Staley, Leon Black, and Les Wexner, among others. Some have not been charged with offenses and deny any wrongdoing.

Individuals Named by Massie

  • Jes Staley: Former JP Morgan banking executive; maintained a professional relationship with Epstein. Prosecutors reviewed but did not pursue allegations against him.
  • Leon Black: Co-founder of Apollo Global Management; stepped down in 2021 due to Epstein ties. Denies awareness of Epstein’s activities before 2019.
  • Les Wexner: Billionaire retail mogul; denies knowing about Epstein’s crimes and denies any involvement.
  • David Copperfield: Magician linked to Epstein through photos. Investigation closed due to concerns over Copperfield’s financial influence, according to an FBI document.
  • Lapo Elkann: Italian businessman; linked to Epstein but not accused or charged with any crime.
  • Tom Pritzker: Hotel executive; condemned Epstein’s actions and regrets maintaining contact post-2008 conviction.
  • Glenn Dubin: Hedge fund manager named in lawsuit; denies accusations.
  • Frédéric Fekkai: Hairstylist accused by an Epstein aide of assault; he denies wrongdoing.
  • Eduardo Teodorani: Italian businessman; appears in Epstein files without any charges.
  • Jean-Luc Brunel: Modeling agent accused of trafficking; died in prison in 2022.
  • Daniel Siad: Modeling scout; found dead under investigation for aiding Epstein.
  • Ramsey Elkholy: Former modeling agent; corresponded with Epstein but claims no knowledge of crimes.
  • Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor: Former Prince Andrew; denies sexual abuse allegations, settled court case while rejecting liability.
  • Lesley Groff: Former executive assistant to Epstein; denies knowledge of crimes. Immune under 2007 plea deal.

Massie’s comments are protected by the speech or debate clause, safeguarding him from legal repercussions for House floor remarks.

Massie aims to gather 218 signatures for a discharge petition that would prompt a House vote on the new legislation. This act would provide state attorneys general with access to Epstein files essential for prosecuting offenders and enabling survivors to obtain their files.
