4 days ago 0

Natalie Harp, President Trump’s executive assistant, has become a focus of satire and criticism lately. She was depicted on Saturday Night Live and Jimmy Kimmel Live in a manner that mocked her devotion to Trump. These portrayals have stirred various opinions among political opponents and the public.

Media Attention

Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff criticized President Trump, suggesting he prefers the company of Harp over performing his duties. However, White House spokesman Davis Ingle defended Harp, describing her as a loyal and diligent aide. Ingle also accused the media of trying to smear dedicated public servants instead of covering real news.

Saturday Night Live

In a Saturday Night Live sketch, Harp, portrayed by Ashley Padilla, visits Trump during a fictional meeting, where she expresses her loyalty and protectiveness towards him. The sketch draws parallels to a character from a movie about obsession, highlighting Harp’s dedication.

Jimmy Kimmel Live

Harp’s character made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, performed by Kimmel’s wife, Molly McNearney. The skit emphasized her unwavering commitment to serve her boss by humorously questioning the assistant’s relentless support.

Natalie Harp’s Career

Harp caught Trump’s attention with a LinkedIn post in 2019, affirming the Right to Try Act aided her during cancer treatment. She later joined conservative media and then Trump’s staff at Mar-a-Lago. Known as “the human printer”, she was pivotal in providing Trump with printed materials. Harp played a significant role during Trump’s 2024 campaign, and upon his re-election, became an executive assistant at the White House.

Public Perception and Loyalty

Harp’s loyalty is well-documented; letters obtained by media sources reveal expressions of devotion to Trump. She apologizes for any perceived missteps, underscoring her determination to maintain strong relations. She continues to appear publicly with Trump, disputing AI-generated images suggesting a more personal relationship.

Harp accompanied Trump on his recent visit to Ireland, capturing public attention and drawing remarks from both the media and White House officials. While the media focuses on these associations, the White House has labeled such narratives as misleading, urging a return to substantive reporting.
