PLYMOUTH, Mass. — Michael Desronvil, the juror who stood firm in his belief that former Massachusetts nurse Lindsay Clancy was guilty of murder, has spoken publicly for the first time without an intermediary. Desronvil, reportedly hiding at an undisclosed location, released a video statement during Fox News’ “Hannity” program.
Desronvil emphasized the need to focus on Cora, Dawson, and Callan, referring to them as the “three angels.” He stated, “The ones that can’t speak for themselves, the ones that can’t defend themselves, and the ones that can’t fight the battles.” His remarks were accompanied by gratitude towards his Catholic faith and those who have supported him during the trial.
“I want to thank God for blessing me with the ability to love my daughter,” he added, expressing appreciation for his supporters amidst the challenging circumstances.
Prior statements from Desronvil were conveyed through his attorney Edward Paltzik. The holdout juror faced accusations of maintaining Clancy’s guilt while allegedly having reasonable doubts about the prosecution’s case, claims which he has denied. Paltzik, in an exclusive interview with Fox News’ Kayleigh McEnany, asserted that Desronvil had “zero doubt.”
Tension between Paltzik and Clancy’s defense lawyer, Kevin Reddington, has intensified as Reddington labeled Desronvil the “obstructionist juror” and sought a court investigation into juror allegations against Desronvil.
Clancy is scheduled for a court conference on Tuesday, where prosecutors will update their plan for a retrial. Her defense team has filed motions for charge dismissal and requested an investigation into juror allegations against Desronvil.
