Munetaka Murakami Shines in Rehab Game for Triple-A Charlotte

Chicago White Sox player Munetaka Murakami showcased his skills in his second injury rehab game with Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday. Murakami secured an RBI double, contributing significantly during the game against Nashville, despite the 6-3 loss.

Murakami’s double to center field occurred in the first inning, demonstrating his capability early in the game. He later completed the game with a performance of 1-for-4, including one RBI, one walk, and he registered one run.

Throughout the game, he displayed consistent efforts. In the third inning, he concluded by flying out to left field, while in the sixth, he popped out to the shortstop. In the eighth inning, he showed discipline at the plate with a walk and later scored from second base on a single. In the ninth inning, his ground out to second base marked the game’s final out.

Over two games with the Knights, Murakami has achieved a 2-for-7 record, with one RBI and one walk. Before the game on Wednesday, White Sox manager Will Venable shared positive feedback about Murakami, reporting that he had recovered well and performed commendably on the field.

Murakami, who has been on the injured list since May 30 due to a right hamstring strain, remains under day-to-day evaluation, according to Venable.
