New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is scheduled to meet with President Donald Trump on Monday at Gracie Mansion. The mayor’s office confirmed this meeting, which will address key issues impacting New York City and its inhabitants.
The meeting will occur at Gracie Mansion, the official residence of the New York City mayor. The agenda will focus on challenges facing America’s largest city.
This meeting marks the third time Trump and Mamdani have come together face-to-face. Their initial meeting took place in the Oval Office in November 2025, following Mamdani’s mayoral election victory, with another meeting held at the White House in February. The time for the upcoming meeting has not yet been disclosed, and the White House has not provided further details.
The meeting coincides with New York City’s preparations for the United Nations General Assembly, which brings global leaders to the city each September. Additionally, it comes at a pivotal time as the November midterm elections approach.
Mamdani, known for his progressive stance, has made affordability a key focus of his administration. He aims to address the city’s rising housing costs, among other issues. Progressive candidates, including those backed by the Democratic Socialists of America, have recently seen success in primaries, spurring a debate on the Democratic Party’s future ahead of the midterms.
In their first meeting, Trump and Mamdani discussed housing and affordability, and expressed optimism about cooperating despite political differences. The upcoming meeting offers them another chance to continue these discussions.
