On Wednesday night at the 2026 ESPYS, the Knicks were recognized for their remarkable postseason journey, earning five awards in total. These honors highlighted their exceptional performance during the Finals.
Jalen Brunson played a pivotal role in these achievements, personally earning three awards. He was named Best NBA Player, Best Championship Performance, and Best Athlete in Men’s Sports. During the NBA Finals, Brunson averaged an impressive 32.6 points per game and scored 45 points in the decisive Game 5 victory.
Outstanding Plays and Team Recognition
OG Anunoby’s incredible efforts were acknowledged as he received the award for Best Play. In Game 4 of the NBA Finals, he helped the Knicks overcome a historic 29-point deficit against the Spurs. His game-winning tip-in at Madison Square Garden became a memorable highlight of the series.
The Knicks’ collective effort also earned them the award for Best Team, celebrating their unity and perseverance throughout the championship season.
