Ochocinco Envisions a Super Bowl Rematch

1 month ago 0

The anticipation for the 2026 NFL season is high, and former NFL star Chad Ochocinco has already started considering potential Super Bowl winners. With the season kicking off in a week, Ochocinco holds back his predictions until he sees some regular season performances. However, he does envision a “storybook” ending at SoFi Stadium.

Ochocinco hopes to see a repeat of the 2021 Super Bowl at SoFi Stadium, featuring the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals. In that matchup, the Rams, led by Matthew Stafford, triumphed over Joe Burrow and the Bengals after acquiring Stafford from the Detroit Lions.

“For me, my storybook ending would be a rematch of the 2021 Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals again,” Ochocinco told OutKick.

Stafford’s remarkable performance in the 2025 season, along with Aaron Donald’s return from retirement, creates excitement for the Rams. Donald joins forces with Myles Garrett, forming a formidable defensive line.

Ochocinco admires the Rams’ offensive and defensive capabilities, considering the team a tough contender in the NFC West. Despite missing some games, he sees them as a strong force.

While Ochocinco supports his former team, the Bengals, his hopes are high this season. Joe Burrow’s dissatisfaction with last year’s performance prompted changes in Cincinnati, including retaining key players like Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.

The team addressed its defensive issues with additions like Jonathan Allen and Dexter Lawrence, aiming for a Super Bowl appearance. Ochocinco remarks on Burrow’s leadership and the Bengals’ management decisions, believing it’s time for the team to deliver.

Health remains crucial for Burrow’s success, as injuries have plagued his recent seasons. Ochocinco insists that Burrow’s health will be a deciding factor in the Bengals’ quest for the Super Bowl.

Despite the Rams’ strong lineup, suitable plans and strategies are necessary to overcome their defense, led by elite players like Donald and Garrett.

In partnership with DraftKings, Ochocinco aims to enhance fans’ experiences. DraftKings Gameday, starting on Sept. 2, will distribute free gas to passenger vehicles at select locations across the nation, offering fans a fun and unique start to the season.

DraftKings plans to deliver various promotions, app experiences, and charitable contributions, accompanied by a new campaign featuring Kevin Hart and Nick Jonas.

“It’s all about the fan experience, so some of the offers and luxuries throughout the season is what sets us apart from everybody else.”
