Ongoing Search for Missing Fitness Trainer in South Carolina

The search continues for Elena Katherine Moore, a 39-year-old fitness trainer who vanished after leaving a gym in Lexington, South Carolina. She was last seen on the night of June 11 at a Planet Fitness location. Her husband, Brannon Slice, reported her disappearance the following day. Police have not yet identified any signs of foul play, and Slice is cooperating with the investigation.

Moore was captured on security footage walking through a Publix parking lot after leaving the gym. She appeared to be heading toward Old Cherokee Road, dressed in an olive-green hoodie and black athletic pants. Another image, taken a week before her disappearance from a doorbell camera, was also released by police.

The Lexington Police Department has been utilizing drones in the search effort. Moore, who works at Wolf’s Fitness Center, has not been in contact since her disappearance, and the gym is aiding in the investigation.

“No further contact with the missing woman has been reported,” said police in a recent statement.

Lauren Beasley, a friend of Moore, stated that although they last spoke a month ago, Moore did not mention any personal issues. She noted that Moore’s absence from social media over the past month is unusual.

Dukes Investigations & Consulting, a private firm involved in the search, is offering a $1,500 reward for information leading to Moore’s whereabouts. The firm encourages residents to examine any security footage that might provide clues.

“Mrs. Elena Katherine Moore has now been missing for six days,” the company posted on Facebook, urging locals to assist by checking their cameras.

Harry Dukes from the firm stated that the newly released photos might aid the investigation but acknowledged the difficulty due to a lack of information about Moore’s circumstances. He emphasized the potential for someone to recognize Moore, given her noticeable presence as a fitness enthusiast.
