OnlyFans model Courtney Clenney has agreed to a plea in her second-degree murder case. This follows the fatal stabbing of her boyfriend, Christian Obumseli. Her attorneys have confirmed this to Fox News Digital.
The plea’s terms remain undisclosed. They require court approval to become final. This information comes from the Prieto Law Firm and Puglisi Carames Law, representing Clenney. The defense plans to present the agreement in Miami-Dade County court on August 10.
Clenney, 30, faces charges for allegedly stabbing Obumseli with a kitchen knife on April 3, 2022. This occurred in her rented apartment in Miami, Florida. Her attorneys stated they will withhold further comments on the plea until the court records the terms.
Since August 2022, Clenney has been in custody due to Obumseli’s death. Her lawyers claim Obumseli was abusive and argue Clenney was a battered partner. Obumseli’s family asserts he was a domestic violence victim.
Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle described Obumseli’s death as the peak of a volatile and combative relationship. This relationship reportedly started in November 2020.
Clenney told investigators Obumseli pushed her and threw her to the floor. In response, she says she threw a knife at him from a distance. A medical examiner identified the chest wound’s depth as three inches.
Initially deemed self-defense, the case warranted further investigation due to concerns from Obumseli’s family. A police report shows officers responded to an aggravated battery call at the Miami apartment. They found Obumseli with a stab wound.
A February 2022 video surfaced showing Clenney during a dispute in Aspen, Colorado. In it, Clenney shouts and strikes Obumseli. She blames him for her drinking, accuses him of costing her money, and insists he leave. This video adds complexity to the case.
Clenney’s legal team urges the public and media to allow the legal process to conclude without speculation.
