Patrick Kane Returns to Chicago Blackhawks on Two-Year Deal

Patrick Kane, at 37, signed a two-year contract worth $16 million with the Chicago Blackhawks. This marks his return to the team where he spent his first 16 seasons and secured three Stanley Cups. His contract includes a comprehensive no-movement clause.

On July 24, 2026, Kane spoke to the press alongside team general manager Kyle Davidson at the Chicago Blackhawks Ice Center. During the event, Kane shared joyful moments, such as high-fiving his son, Patrick Kane III, while engaging with the media.

Kane’s legacy with the Blackhawks is rich. He was named the No. 1 star of the game during a 6-2 victory over the Red Wings on April 2, 2008. Additionally, he actively participated in the inaugural Blackhawks Convention by tossing hats to fans with teammate Jonathan Toews.
