Pawn Stars’ Rick Harrison Undergoes Emergency Surgery

Rick Harrison, the well-known figure behind “Pawn Stars,” faced an alarming turn of events during what was supposed to be a routine medical procedure. Doctors unexpectedly identified the need for an emergency bypass surgery.

A representative for the Harrison family informed Fox News Digital that while the initial procedure was meant to be simpler, the discovery led to urgent action. “He is resting comfortably and looking forward to a full recovery,” the spokesperson noted. The family has expressed their gratitude towards the medical team and are thankful for the presence of Harrison’s wife and family during this critical time.

“He is grateful for the doctors and staff at the hospital and that his wife and family can be with him,” the statement continued.

Prior to the surgery, Harrison emphasized the value of family support, highlighting the importance of having his new wife, Angie, by his side. Earlier this year, he married Agripina “Angie” Polushkin in Las Vegas. The ceremony took place at the Little White Wedding Chapel with an Elvis Presley impersonator officiating.

This marriage came after a series of challenging years for Harrison, marked by personal losses. His son Adam tragically passed away from a fentanyl overdose in January 2024 at the age of 39 after a prolonged struggle with addiction. Later that year, his mother, Joanne Harrison, also passed away.

Reflecting on these experiences, Harrison expressed appreciation for Angie’s unwavering support. “She was there for me,” he shared, emphasizing the significance of her presence during those difficult times.

Harrison recounted his first interactions with Angie, noting their immediate connection. “I just started talking to her, and you have a conversation with her. And she’s really, really smart,” he remarked, appreciating her intellect and authenticity.

Addressing those skeptical about finding love later in life, Harrison shared his insights. “It’s all about being happy,” he said. “Life is absolutely amazing if you want to make it amazing. It’s a wonderful, amazing world out there.”
