President Trump’s Health Report: A Detailed Examination

1 month ago 0

The White House recently released a three-page report from President Trump’s physician, detailing the results of his physical exam at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. This examination took place earlier this week.

Dr. Sean P. Barbabella, the president’s physician, provided a positive assessment. He stated that the 79-year-old president remains in excellent health with strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and overall physical function. This follows a history of upbeat health reports emphasizing Mr. Trump’s good condition and health habits.

As the oldest man inaugurated as president, Mr. Trump underwent thorough physical and mental examinations. The report revealed he had an echocardiogram, an ultrasound image of the heart. This was following increased cardiovascular testing last year after he was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, a condition causing difficulties in moving blood back to the heart.

President Trump’s history of high cholesterol is managed with medications like Crestor and Zetia, aimed at lowering LDL cholesterol levels. He also takes a high daily dose of aspirin to mitigate risks of heart attacks and strokes, contrary to medical guidelines recommending a lower dosage. Mr. Trump chooses to maintain the higher dose against his doctors’ advice.

During his visit to Walter Reed, President Trump underwent neurological testing, including the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MOCA), a 10-minute exam screening for dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and other conditions. As in previous years, he scored a perfect 30 out of 30 on this assessment.

The report noted a weight gain of 14 pounds since a physical exam in April 2025, bringing him to 238 pounds, which is near the threshold for clinical obesity. President Trump has publicly addressed his weight, acknowledging that he has not taken obesity drugs but has joked, “I probably should.”
