Prince Harry will travel to London next week, but his wife Meghan and their children will not join him during this visit, according to a source close to him. Initially expected to be a family visit marking their first return to the UK together in four years, it now appears only Harry will attend.
The trip coincides with the one-year countdown to the next Invictus Games, which Harry initiated in 2014 to honor wounded veterans. These games are scheduled for July 10-17, 2027. Harry also plans to participate in philanthropic events with his charities during the visit.
Currently in Europe, Harry and his family are considering visiting the UK together but potentially staying outside of London. A report by The Sun indicated they intended to visit a London hospital together, but due to security reasons, Harry will proceed solo.
Previously, Harry stated his concerns over his family’s safety in the UK after a court decision that denied full police protection. Nevertheless, Buckingham Palace has not provided additional security for this visit.
Harry and Meghan relocated to North America in 2020, stepping away from royal duties amid family tensions. These issues deepened after Harry published his memoir, “Spare,” and faced legal disputes in the UK. Despite the strained relationship, Harry expressed a desire to reconcile with King Charles III, though meetings between them remain uncertain.
Harry reportedly last saw his father, who is undergoing treatment for undisclosed cancer, at Clarence House in September 2025.
