The storyline centers around a robotic boy’s quest to become real, echoing the tale of Pinocchio. Technology in the movie indicates a remarkable vision, with some concepts beginning to materialize today.

While the technology to create humanoid robots like those depicted in the film is far from reality, some AI concepts are taking shape. Teddy, who walks, talks, and reacts to emotions, resembles products being developed today. Many tech companies are creating AI companions, transforming digital chatbots into physical entities. These include dolls, action figures, and robots designed to engage children.

AI’s Growing Role in Childhood

Artificial intelligence is increasingly influencing childhood. Recommendation algorithms determine what children consume in media.
