Recall Alert: Motor City Pizza Co. Frozen Cheese Breads

4 weeks ago 0

A company based in Michigan is recalling certain frozen cheese bread products due to potential salmonella contamination. Champion Foods initiated this recall for specific batches of Motor City Pizza Co. 5 Cheese Bread. This decision follows a milk powder recall by California Dairies, Inc., linked to possible salmonella exposure. The milk powder is a component in the five-cheese sauce blend.

Salmonella can cause symptoms like nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain in healthy individuals. It poses a higher risk for children and those with weakened immune systems, potentially leading to severe outcomes, including blood, bone, and organ infections, according to the CDC.

“We are taking action out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our customers,” said a representative from Champion Foods.

The recalled breads were distributed nationally, sold in single and double packs at various retailers, including Costco, Walmart, Giant Landover, and several others.
