The campaign for Republican Senator Jon Husted, who is seeking reelection in a tight race in Ohio, announced a personnel change following inquiries from The Post. The campaign has decided to sever ties with its political director.
This decision comes in light of revelations about the staffer’s recent social media activity. The individual, a high-ranking member of Husted’s team, previously used a photo of SS soldiers as a Facebook profile picture. Moreover, they added songs to a public playlist that celebrated Rhodesia, a defunct nation historically ruled by a White minority. Rhodesia is frequently referenced by white supremacists.
Sen. Jon Husted is currently engaged in a heavily contested race in Ohio. This development has emerged as his campaign deals with the implications of the staffer’s online presence.
