Shooting Incident at In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls, Idaho

A shooting occurred at a newly opened In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls, Idaho, on Saturday afternoon. The incident resulted in multiple fatalities, although the exact number is still unconfirmed, according to local authorities. The suspected shooter was found dead at the scene.

Local news station KTVB reported three deaths and two injuries. Twin Falls Police Department Chief Matthew Hicks described the scene as ‘very chaotic.’ He stated, ‘We have hundreds of people that were in some way, shape, or form in the area of this restaurant at the time that are being interviewed right now.’

First responders arriving at the scene closed roads around the restaurant. This included closing the city’s notable Perrine Memorial Bridge over the Snake River. Residents nearby were instructed to shelter in place as a precaution.

“We believe that the threat to the community is over. We are working to ascertain his identity and the motivations,” Chief Hicks said.

The FBI is set to assist local law enforcement with the investigation. Despite the restaurant being recently opened, In-N-Out lists the Twin Falls location as temporarily closed. The Twin Falls site is currently the only In-N-Out in the city.

Earlier this year, In-N-Out announced the opening of additional locations in California, Arizona, Utah, and Tennessee alongside Twin Falls. Chief Hicks indicated that the Twin Falls location is one of the busiest in Southern Idaho.
