Video recorded a SWAT team in Oregon as they used a vehicle to disable a tractor during a standoff with a suspect. The suspect, Erik Gordon Shunn, 53, allegedly engaged in a shooting spree near Portland. According to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), Shunn targeted multiple tree workers, firing over 200 rounds.
Drone footage shows Shunn shooting at the drone, as stated by authorities. He later drove a compact tractor near his residence where a SWAT vehicle collided with it, pinning it against the house. This allowed SWAT team members to detain him.

The Clackamas County SWAT team had responded following reports of an armed neighbor firing at arborists working in the area. A 911 call indicated Shunn possessed several firearms and witnesses reported he fired around 20 shots at the tree workers.
Upon arriving, drones observed Shunn in his driveway. He appeared to use his tractor to attempt creating a barricade by knocking down trees. Officials chose to pin the tractor when Shunn was away from his rifle, optimizing their chances of arresting him safely.
After subduing Shunn, first responders assessed the condition of neighbors and workers, ensuring their safety and organizing their evacuation. No injuries were recorded. Shunn’s mother, who was on-site during the incident, was unharmed.
Shunn faces charges of second-degree attempted murder, first-degree attempted assault, reckless endangerment, unlawful weapon use, menacing, illegal firearm possession, first-degree attempted criminal mischief, and obstructing a peace officer.
Currently, Shunn is being held without bail at the Clackamas County Jail.
