The Heartwarming Friendship Between a Duck and a Dog

In New York, Justin and Tori Cannarelli have a unique family member, alongside their two children, Cameron and Charlie, and a dog. This special member is a duck named Louie.

Initially, the Cannarellis wanted a duck for Justin’s garden center. They found one through Facebook Marketplace, which had hatched in a Long Island school classroom. However, Louie ended up in their home instead.

Louie’s stay was supposed to be temporary, but he became essential for one family member, their golden retriever Barley. A few years ago, Barley began having seizures. While medication helped, it caused side effects, making Barley lose her lively spirit.

Enter Louie, who quickly formed a bond with Barley. This friendship brought back Barley’s joy. She started wagging her tail and showing her personality again.
