Tragic Murder-Suicide Follows TikTok Allegations

3 weeks ago 0

Sara Gilson, a TikTok influencer known as Sara Duffey, recently accused her husband, Jeremiah “Shawn” Duffey, of being a pedophile. Both were found dead in a suspected murder-suicide in Oklahoma. Gilson had filed a protective order against Duffey before posting a July 11 TikTok video. She suggested a documentary might detail her husband’s alleged crimes. This video remained visible on her account.

On July 24, police found both Gilson, 41, and Duffey, 48, dead from gunshot wounds at Gilson’s home. Local outlet KTUL reported the incident as a murder-suicide. An extended family member identified the bodies, and it was alleged that Duffey broke into the home, killed Gilson, and then himself. Police confirmed the couple’s identities without officially labeling it a murder-suicide.

Authorities assured there was no threat to the public. A juvenile inside the house made the 911 call. A protective order dated June 10 had mandated Duffey to stay 100 yards away from Gilson. On the same day, another woman filed a protective order against him. Duffey was allegedly seen with her 15-year-old daughter, a member of the youth basketball team he coached. Reports included inappropriate texts and monetary offers to the girl. Owasso Police received a report of these allegations.

Before this, Gilson had sought two protective orders against Duffey, both dismissed when she missed hearings. The couple shared children. Gilson’s TikTok accusation followed a popular trend format, claiming her estranged husband was a “pedophile.”

Fox News Digital reached out to the Owasso Police Department for additional details. The investigation continues into the tragic circumstances around the deaths of Sara Gilson and Jeremiah Duffey.
