Tragic Shooting in Twin Falls: Victim Stories Emerge

In Twin Falls, Idaho, a senseless tragedy unfolded when a 24-year-old gunman opened fire, affecting several lives outside a popular In-N-Out burger restaurant. The town, home to about 50,000 people, was struck with grief as the shooting resulted in three deaths and seven injuries.

The families of Ashley Garibay, 27, and Christopher Claunch confirmed their loss in the attack. The assailant, identified as Chad Williams, ended his own life after committing the attack. Police, joined by investigators, are working tirelessly to uncover more details about the incident and any potential motive.

Christopher Claunch, who was fondly known as “Toph,” dedicated his life to aiding others in overcoming substance abuse. Working at the same treatment facility in Rupert where he found sobriety, Claunch turned his recovery into his life’s calling. Garren Taylor, the Claunch family spokesperson, reflected on his impactful work.

“Claunch was always successful in helping others find recovery,” Taylor noted. His role at the Renaissance Ranch was pivotal, touching countless lives, especially those society often neglects. Claunch’s partner, Teresa Sperry, was informed of his tragic death by the Sheriff’s Department.

In-N-Out Employee Mourned

Tragedy struck the In-N-Out Burger family as well. Lynsi Snyder, president of the chain, mourned the loss of a dedicated employee killed while serving customers. Snyder expressed profound sorrow that such a valued member of their team fell victim to the violence.

Wounded Survivors

Terry Dudley, a taxi driver, was also caught in the crossfire. Shot while charging his Tesla, Dudley suffered serious injuries. His son, Michael, shared that his father managed to call for help despite the chaos, and he is currently receiving medical care in Boise.

James Palmer, owner of the taxi service employing Dudley, highlighted the chaos and stress that followed the shooting. Palmer described Dudley as an essential figure in their operations, expressing his deep concern over Dudley’s condition.

Another survivor, Austin “A.J.” Scott, who previously worked in law enforcement, was critically injured. His father, Marcus Scott, shared that A.J. acted heroically by moving toward the danger to protect others. Marcus expressed his gratitude for the immediate assistance provided, which likely saved his son’s life.
