Trump Assures Netanyahu’s Safety During US Visit

4 weeks ago 0

President Donald Trump assured that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would not face any arrest while in the United States. This statement came after New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani considered whether city police could apprehend the Israeli leader upon his visit.

In December, Trump and Netanyahu appeared together at a news conference held at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida. Despite Mamdani’s earlier interest in enforcing an arrest warrant issued by an international court against Netanyahu, Trump’s decisive announcement clarified that such actions would not be tolerated during Netanyahu’s stay.

This development arose following Mamdani’s remarks on supporting the enforcement of legal actions against the Israeli Prime Minister. However, Trump’s stance unequivocally emphasized that no legal actions would be executed against Netanyahu while he is in the country.
