Trump Faces Elevated Security Threats Amid Secret Service Cases

1 month ago 0

Former Secret Service Agent Tim Miller highlights an increased security threat to President Trump. This includes assassination plots and a disturbing image depicting Trump in a casket. Miller stresses the need for substantial resources for the Secret Service to tackle this extraordinary threat involving both foreign entities and domestic hate groups.

The U.S. Secret Service is currently investigating a video on Iranian state media that threatens President Trump’s youngest son, Barron. Nate Herring, a spokesperson for the Secret Service, stated they are aware of the video and emphasized their commitment to investigating any perceived threats to their protectees. Herring noted that specific details regarding protective intelligence are not discussed to maintain operational security.

The concerning video not only depicts locations associated with Barron Trump but also offers a suggested $10 million reward for information about his location. The Iranian media has consistently aired threatening content against Trump and his family, especially after the assassination of Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the U.S. airstrike that killed Iranian General Qasem Soleimani in 2020.

Deputy Director of the U.S. Secret Service Matt Quinn acknowledged Iran’s public threats against President Trump. These threats coincide with the Trump administration’s strict stance against countries maintaining economic ties with Tehran, as well as a naval blockade at the Strait of Hormuz. Notably, in July, Trump had to switch planes secretly while in Turkey due to a credible threat from an Iranian missile.

The White House has deferred any questions regarding these security matters to the Secret Service.
