Former President Donald Trump recently mentioned during a podcast episode, ‘Storytime with the Second Lady,’ that he would like to host a gathering of former presidents at the White House to watch a football game. While discussing the idea with second lady Usha Vance, Trump suggested inviting Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and members of the Bush family, saying it would be a story that would captivate the media.
The podcast features Usha Vance, who is married to Vice President JD Vance, interviewing various guests who narrate books to children on YouTube. These guests have included public figures like race car driver Danica Patrick and the Artemis II astronauts, and recently, Trump himself.
In this episode, Trump added his own commentary while discussing ‘Presidents Play!’ published by the White House Historical Association. This book showcases the hobbies and pastimes of American presidents. While commenting, Trump humorously noted the size and baseball interest of William Howard Taft, the largest president, joking that he aimed not to surpass Taft’s record weight.
Trump also spoke about former President Bill Clinton, highlighting Clinton’s jogging routine on a track installed during his White House tenure. Despite political differences, Trump expressed admiration for Clinton, stating his ongoing fondness for him.
At a recent event, Trump’s living predecessors, such as George W. Bush, Clinton, and Biden, attended the opening of Obama’s presidential center. Trump, who maintains a contentious relationship with Obama, did not receive an invitation.
