White House and DHS Challenge Media Reports on ICE Arrests

4 weeks ago 0

Exclusive: The White House and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) are disputing claims by major media outlets concerning the nature of ICE arrests. Reports by the Washington Post and New York Times allege that ICE is increasingly targeting noncriminal illegal immigrants under President Trump’s administration.

According to the Washington Post, ICE has detained a larger number of noncriminals than in previous years. The New York Times echoed this sentiment, highlighting the growing number of arrests without criminal records.

Lauren Bis, special assistant to the President and White House spokeswoman, responded in an interview with Fox News Digital. She argued that almost 70% of illegal aliens arrested by ICE had either been convicted or were facing charges in the U.S. Furthermore, she contended that many of these so-called noncriminal arrests involved individuals with serious criminal backgrounds in their home countries, including offenses like murder, child sex abuse, and gang activity.

These are just a few of the media’s ‘non-criminals,’ Bis remarked. Why does the mainstream media continue to peddle false narratives protecting criminal illegal aliens?

ICE’s Enforcement Actions: The push for stricter enforcement has resulted in record high monthly arrest figures for ICE. Recently, a Honduran national named Fredy Alexander Lopez Lara was detained due to an international warrant for homicide. Additionally, El Salvadoran national Danny Granados-Garcia, an MS-13 member, was apprehended for being wanted in El Salvador for the murder of a pastor.

In California, Border Patrol agents arrested Salvador Suazo-Garcia, listed as wanted for serious crimes in Mexico. Similarly, Silvia Del Rosario Torres-Castro faced arrest for an alleged homicide in Mexico. Antonio Israel Lazo-Quintanilla was another noteworthy arrest, connected to the 18th Street Gang and wanted for multiple serious crimes.

On apprehending Mexican brothers Pedro Luis and Jose Vicente Ortiz-Mendez in Texas, DHS emphasized their involvement in a violent festival attack in Mexico, leading to murder charges.

Bis commented, These are just a few examples of murderers, gang members, and pedophiles the media refers to as ‘non-criminals’ because they only have criminal records in their home country.

She stressed the importance of getting such individuals off U.S. streets, noting their potential threats to communities.
