Early Saturday morning, a tragic event occurred on a bridge in Munich, Germany. Two cargo trains collided, leading to the derailment of two carriages which crashed onto the street below. This incident resulted in the death of one individual, as confirmed by local police authorities.
The exact cause of the collision is currently being investigated. A police spokesperson from the southern German city provided this information to Reuters. Meanwhile, rescue operations focused on the freight train cars that had fallen from the bridge in the Milbertshofen district of Munich.
Emergency services received notification of the accident at 1:40 a.m. local time. In response, approximately 60 first responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. A spokesperson from the fire department relayed this information.
