Marcellus Wiley, a former NFL Pro Bowler and sports broadcaster, was arrested on charges of domestic battery on Saturday. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office conducted the arrest, and court records show that Wiley is being held without bond. So far, no further details about his arrest have been disclosed.
An earlier Rolling Stone article had mentioned accusations of sexual assault involving Wiley. In April 2026, four women brought these accusations to light. Wiley, who is 51 years old, faces these charges among other legal battles.
Previously, three women sued Wiley, alleging rape during his time at Columbia University, where he played college football. Wiley denied the allegations on his podcast, ‘More To It with Marcellus Wiley,’ and claimed to have evidence disproving these accusations, which he referred to as ‘alleged misrepresentations’ and ‘B.S.’
Wiley’s wife, Annemarie Wiley, is known for her role on ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.’ The Rolling Stone article also mentions that two women claimed abuse by Wiley between 1995 and 1999.
An additional alleged victim reported that Wiley began grooming her at age 13 when he played for the Buffalo Bills. She stated that he raped her at 18, after being flown out by Wiley while he was with the Dallas Cowboys. The woman accused Columbia University of failing to adequately pursue earlier complaints, which she believes contributed to the abuse.
Another woman who worked as a production assistant at ESPN accused Wiley of misleading her into a hotel room for what was supposed to be a work meeting in 2009, where she claims he sexually assaulted her. She expressed in a court filing that the assault had devastating and long-lasting effects.
Wiley began his NFL career with the Buffalo Bills after being the 52nd overall pick in the 1997 NFL Draft. He earned a Pro Bowl selection in 2001 as a member of the San Diego Chargers. His career also included stints with the Dallas Cowboys and Jacksonville Jaguars before retiring after the 2006 season.
