Donald Trump Jr. shared his views on the preliminary hearing in the case against Tyler Robinson, accused of assassinating Charlie Kirk, co-founder of Turning Point USA. During the hearing, Trump Jr. noted that the evidence presented, including surveillance video and witness testimony, seemed conclusive.
Speaking on ‘America’s Newsroom,’ Trump Jr. expressed surprise at how straightforward the prosecution’s case appeared, describing it as more ‘cut and dry’ than he anticipated. He was confident Robinson would be found guilty as the case progresses.
The preliminary hearing started Monday and is expected to last the week. Prosecutors need to demonstrate probable cause for Robinson to face trial on various charges, with aggravated murder being the most severe, carrying a possible death penalty.
Robinson allegedly shot Kirk, aged 31, during a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University on September 10 of the previous year. Trump Jr. attended the hearing to support Kirk’s legacy and his widow, Erika, along with Kirk’s parents.
Trump Jr. emphasized the importance of preserving Kirk’s influence, citing his generational impact on American youth. He attended to witness the evidence firsthand, rather than speculating publicly about the case.
